Junior Dragster Programs for 2013

Eddyville Raceway Park welcomes back Trick Tools as the sponsor of the Jr Dragster class for 2013. Check them out for special fabrication tools and more!

New for 2013! (2) Jr classes

Novice class for all 8 and 9 year olds plus 10 and up with 1 year or less Jr racing expierence at the start of the season. This class is about learning and having fun and will not be a points class. This class will have it`s own consi class for 1st round non winners.
Advanced class for 10 year old and up with more than 1 year expierence at the start of the season. This will be a points class and have it`s own consi race for 1st round non winners.
There will be a run off of the 2 consi winners and 2 class winners to determine the overall Jr Champion for the day. (no points for the run off rounds)

This program will be in effect on the following dates in 2013:
May 11, 18, 25, 26, June 8, 15, July 6 ,7, Aug. 10, 17, 18, 31, Sept. 1, 21, 22.
Trophies for 2 class winners, 2 class runner ups, 2 consi winners, and Top Jr Champion.

Cash payout to parents of Advanced class winner and the run off champion. ($50 each) Advance class runner up will receive $25 cash. Novice class winner and runner up will get cash payout if 8 or more entries in the class.

Jr Dragster Reaction Time contest. We will also do a reaction time contest on points race dates (time permitting) that will be free to all Jr racers with the winner getting $20 cash also sponsored by Laffoon and Co.

Non Points Race Dates. We will offer a Jr class on most non points race dates that will have $5 buy backs for 1st round non winners instead of a consi race. We will have trophies to the winner and runner up and cash payouts of $50 winner, $25 runner up with a minimum of 8 entries. Please check website for details about weekly events.

Jr Dragster Hawkeye Nationals returns !

Special Jr Dragster race with other car and bike classes on June 15 and 16. (Saturday will be a points race)

Saturday: (4) age groups (8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-17) each class winner will receive an NHRA Jr Dragster Challenge Wally, 4 age group winners will run off for King of the Hill Trophy, 1st round non winners will have a free consi race. Trophy and $100 to winner, Trophy and $50 to R.U.

Entry Fee for this event: $35

Payouts: (each class)

Less than 10 entries: $50 winner $25 R.U.
10-19 entries: $100 winner, $50 R.U., $25 semi
20 plus entries: $200 winner, $100 R.U., $50 semis

Sunday classes: All run bracket race, 7.90, 8.90, & 12.90 index classes.
Entry fees and payouts same as age group classes on Saturday. Special trophies for each class, can enter more than one class.

Jr Dragster Halloween Nationals Oct. 4-6

The tradition continues with this Jr only event with age groups on Saturday, Fun races Saturday night, Index classes and more on Sunday. Details TBA
