JR MOTORSPORTS EXPANDS INTO DRAG RACING

JR Motorsports of Ankeny, IA is the latest company to sign as sponsors at Cordova, Eddyville and Cedar Falls Raceways. Founded in 1999 the main focus of JR Motorsports has been in the stock car field. However, in the fall of 2010 with a change in the ownership group the business focus has now been expanded. "We have always built and serviced drag race engines in our modern machine shop, said Brock Rude President JR Motorsports, however we are now dedicating ourselves to be a leader in drag race engines and components."

In addition to the complete machine shop including Dyno services, JR Motorsports will be your headquarters to purchase drag race components. Adding to the commitment of not only selling drag race components, JR Motorsports plans on attending major events at all three of our facilities providing technical assistance to anyone who might need some direction. "We believe our approach to drag racing will show the drag racers that we are very serious in our effort, as you won't need to be a current customer for us to provide technical assistance" said Rude. "I came from a drag racing background and I understand drag racers and I want JR Motorsports to be the place for all their race needs including engines, chassis work and construction and parts" he concluded.

JR Motorsports is currently working on separate catalog of drag racing components and are already stocking parts at their main location in Ankeny, IA. To kick off the 2011 racing season a special open house is planned for Saturday, February 26 at 801 SW Ordnance Road, Ankeny, IA. Representatives from Eddyville, Cordova and Cedar Falls Raceway will also be on hand along with several major manufacturer reps.
