A Letter from Candy Hay and Family

On be half of me and my family I would like to thank the following  people for making our trip back to Iowa something we will never forget.

What an effort you all put in to making my family feel very comfortable on the one year anniversary of Tim's passing. What we thought was going to be a very hard weekend ended up being very special with family, friends and fans who all lost someone very special on Aug. 21,2010.

Joy Custer - You have touched my heart in many ways since Tim's  passing. You've kept in contact all year and welcomed us back to Iowa  with open arms. You made sure my family had everything we needed before  and during our time there. What started out as a tradgedy brought a new friend in to my life. YOU

Scott Garner and Gerald Kramer - Thank you both for accommodating my  family at the track and giving Tim a wonderful tribute. You have continued to sell posters, etc and send the money to the memorial fund to help me out. Your track will hold a special place in our hearts.

Dennis Mothershed - Thank you for the pictures, cd's, books, banner, money and everything else you have done for me to make this last year a  little easier. We took the yellow roses you gave us and placed them at  Tim's headstone. I know you paid to have the small scale car done of Tim and the High Voltage Hayride. I will cherish this forever. You and Christina are great people and I appreciate your help and hopefully will see you next year.

Scott Gaulter - Wow, what can I say. Your such a good man, you started selling the memorial posters from track to track and continue to do so. You made me the Grand Marshall and Official Starter when I'm sure there  was someone more deserving than me. You have had my back this last year and I appreciate everything you've done for me and my family. I hope someday to return the favor to you. You and Peggy are two of the most  giving people I will every know.

Sean Belt - You have supported my family day in and out. You put us up in a hotel room in Kansas, and a nice one I might add. You had a tatoo done in honor of Tim. You are and always will be another son to me. You  like so many others have helped us out this year and made our transition without Tim a little more bearable.

Mike and Lynn Garland - Mike, the small scale car is the most detailed  I've seen. You touched the hearts of many by making that car. I will  keep it in a safe place and it will be passed on like an heirloom. Lynn, thank you for helping us out in the booth with the sale of shirts,  posters, etc. We developed a good friendship and I hope to continue it. You both went out of your way to help me with anything I needed and I  appreciate it.

Angel - What a pleasure it was to meet you. Your the first person I  cried with and brought me much comfort. Your a special person and I  wish  you the best life has to offer.

Eddyville staff - Thank you all for your help from the gate,  concession stands, Patty shack and on the track. All of you people  worked together to make my family feel at ease and we are grateful to  have friends like you in our life.

If I missed your name I am sorry, so many people to thank for an  unforgettable tribute to Tim Hay. We love you all and hopefully can  come  back next year.
