The Doorslammer Shoot-Out Is The Event For You; This Sat

If you love high climbing wheelstanding Detroit hot rods, then the Doorslammer Shootout presented by Advance Transmission is the event for you. Eight of the best Midwest Super Stock Mafia invade Eddyville Raceway this Saturday, June 4. "We have not had a chance to run in front of the fans at Eddyville" said MSSM Director Dennis Holas. "I can only imagine how excited everyone will be after they witness how good the Mafia Show is" he said. Track Operator Gerald Kramer agreed and said "After seeing these cars at the Cordova World Series of Drag Racing, I knew we wanted them at Eddyville"

In addition to the Mafia, it is the debut of the Chris Duncan Race Cars Midwest Pro-Mod Super Series with 10 cars pre-entered. "Two hundred mile-per-hour is the magic number I would like to see" Continued Kramer. The Pro-Mods take the track on Friday evening (7 PM) for a qualifying round that could produce the quickest and fastest times of the event. Then on Saturday (June 4) the Pro-Mods are back into qualifying mode at both 1 PM and 3 PM with final eliminations for the eight car field underway at 6 PM. The Midwest Super Stock Mafia will also join the Pro-Mods at 6 PM. In addition to these fine performers the Casey's General Store Stick Shifters will be on hand as well as the 10.5" Challenge Cars, Top Sportsman/Top Dragster and much more. In fact it's likely to be a full pit area at Eddyville this weekend.
