THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN 2010

From all of us at ERP we would like to thank everyone who either raced with us or came as a spectator to our events. In spite of lots of challenges with a poor economy and plenty of not so good weather we had a pretty good season.

Congratulations to the following for winning the points classes: Super Pro- Bruce Main, Pro ET- Bob Bash, Sportsman-Mike Wymore, Pure Street-Robert Blackford, Jr Dragster-Taylor Grimm, Pro Bike-Jason Clampitt, Top Sportsman-Troy Spaulding, Top Dragster- Jared Micetich, High School-Ashley Baumert, Eddyville Stick Shifters-Troy Shafer.

We have some great `mini series` at ERP including the new `Modified` class this year. This is a class of very dedicated racers that we are very glad to have racing with us. We will look at some minor rules changes for next year and hopefully see some more participation. The Pro Bike class has seen some new racers as well competing on a regular basis and a few races with very good participation. We are looking at a similar schedule for 2011.

The 10.5 “ tire Street Car Challenge Series had lots of broken race cars this year but I believe is poised for growth next year as we are working on some new ideas to grow the class. Our Top Sportsman/ Top Dragster Series was strong at the end of the year but weak early in the season. This is a neat race series that does need a little tweaking to be as good as it could be. The Eddyville Stick Shifters continues to be a great example of what a `mini series` can be. The racers in this class have a great time, and help themselves  financially by getting sponsors to help increase the class`s payout. As a result this class continues to grow. Next year we are looking to add a 6.90 Index class (Super Street) class as an added mini series.

The NHRA Division 5 Junior Dragster Race in June was great, as was the Junior Dragster Halloween Nationals in October.  We love doing the Junior Dragster Events!

The Musco Lighting Night of Fire was a neat event especially the with Top Fuel match race with Bruce Litton and Tommy Johnson Jr. This as usual, was our biggest sportsman car count of the year. The World Fuel Altered Nationals was again a great event until the tragic final round when we lost a great Fuel Altered driver, Tim Hay. At this time we are quite certain this event will continue as Tim`s family and all of us want to continue.

We are already started planning for 2011. I welcome any and all emails and phone calls with your ideas on what we can do to make it better for all.  (manager@eddyvilleraceway.com ) (641-780-3534)
