AWESOME BANQUET SETS STAGE FOR NEW YEAR

The Eddyville Raceway Park Banquet was a huge success and a great celebration for the points racers & crews. "The banquet is a great time to honor the champions and special award winners" said Gerald Kramer, "it also serves as a great kick-off for the season." he continued.

In all, more than 250 people attended the celebration that was held at the Best Western Airport location in Des Moines, IA on Saturday, February 28. In addition to honoring special award winners, several people received "Darwin" awards for funny things they did in 2008.

Of course, an ERP Banquet would not be complete without the video presentation prepared by Joy Custer. The video, which is approximately an hour long, features most if not all the points racers from the 2008 season. In addition, there were many funny moments caught as well.
