AGGRESSIVE SCHEDULE FOR ERP IN 2009

The Eddyville Raceway Park Schedule of Events will be aggressive for 2009. “I believe we have one of the busiest years ever scheduled for ERP” said Gerald Kramer. “We have some new events to go along with the traditional events we have hosted” he continued.

Opening day for 2009 is scheduled for Saturday, April 18. New for this year is a Saturday event (select dates) that is the called the Street Car Challenge. This event includes a bracket combo class, a junior non-points class and in some cases auto-cross racing as well. “Last season the small tire challenge really took off and is becoming pretty popular, so we moved that class into select Saturdays” mentioned Kramer. In addition to the small tire class a new “Big Tire Street Class” will also be conducted. Details on that class will be released soon. On some of these Saturdays, the auto-cross will also be conducted following the drag racing. Full details will be forthcoming on these events.

Returning major spectator events include the Musco Night of Fire (Sat. July 4), the Arnold Motor Supply Nostalgia Drags (Sat. July 18) and the World Fuel Altered Nationals (Fri & Sat Aug 21 & 22).  In addition a Pro-Mod feature event will also be announced soon.

Special bracket racing events in addition to our points bracket series include the Memorial Weekend Big Bucks Event (Sat & Sun, May 23 & 24), Night of Fire Event (Sat & Sun July 4 &5), the Labor Weekend Spectacular (Sat & Sun, Sept 5 & 6) and the Fall Classic (Sat & Sun Sept. 17 & 18). The popular Junior Halloween Nationals (for Junior Dragsters only) will also return on Friday thru Sunday, Oct 9-11.
