WHATS HAPPENING AT ERP

We attended the NHRA Track Operators Meetings and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in December at Orlando. The meetings went very good as we meet a lot of people and shared ideas. At the PRI Show we meet with several of the sponsors of our MBA Series and are happy to report that many renewed their involvement for 2008.

Plans for the 2008 racing season are also well underway. As of this writing we can confirm some of the major event dates. The Musco Lighting Night of Fire, Saturday, July 5, (a new) Nostalgia Event on July 18 & 19, the MX2 NHRA Hawkeye Junior Dragster Division 5 event on Aug 9 & 10 and the World Fuel Altered Nationals on Aug. 15 & 16. We are working on details for these events and welcome any thoughts or suggestions you might have. You may contact Gerald by phone at 641-780-3534 or e-mail to manager@eddyvilleraceway.com

We will be attending and have booth space at Wild Wades Swap Meet (Des Moines, IA) on Sunday, January 13 and the Drag News Magazine Drag Expo (Schaumburg, IL) on Saturday and Sunday, January 19-20 please stop and see us. We plan on having a complete schedule of events by then. Please note that after the past winter storms, we plan on having a "Volunteer Day" at the beginning of this year as we need your help cleaning up all the limbs and tree damage we have encountered.

Prayers and words of encouragement are needed for some of the ERP family. Track photographer Chet Bain has been dealing with several health issues including gall-bladder surgery on December 11. He is having a difficult time with his recovery. Cards may be sent to Chet and Jan at 101 Linder, New London, IA 52645. Also, ERP employee Scott Nichols (the guys who keeps the grounds looking good!) has recently had three deaths in the family. This is a very difficult time for Scott. Cards can be sent to 812 N. High Street, Oskaloosa, IA 52577.
