HANGOVERFEST, NEW YEARS DAY AT CORDOVA
The 7th annual HangoverFest is this Tuesday, January 1 (New Years Day) at Cordova Dragway Park, Cordova, Illinois. "I would imagine we will be the only drag strip open in the Midwest on New Year’s Day" said Scott Gardner. "We plan to race, short of a major snowstorm on New Year’s Day" continued Gardner.
Gates open at 10 AM with racing underway at 11 AM and going into the late afternoon. In addition a trophy race will be conducted. Admission is only $10 to race or watch and there will free aspirin for those who might have been out to late on New Year’s Eve. In addition, the heated Interstate Batteries Cafe will be open with food and beverage including $1 bloody Marys for those 21 and over and not racing.
