Team Eddyville Looks Good At Thunder Bracket Finals
Last weekend at the IHRA Thunder team finals, Team Eddyville made an impressive showing with a 5th place finish out of 15 teams despite having only 35 contestants make the trip. Eddyville did better than 10 other teams at the finals, most of which had a full contingent of drivers and were normally heavy hitters in this contest. We also won the best appearing team award by having everyone in the stands wearing their team shirts for the picture session.
In addition to taking home the best appearing team title we had several of our drivers go rounds, including the all Eddyville final in Junior Dragster. In the final it was Chad Bacon taking the win over track champion Robbie Massey. This years Junior Dragster class was unusually large making their accomplishments even more significant. Also, making their presence known was Brandon Williams with a runner-up in the High School Class and Marvin Bacon Jr. who made it to the semi’s in the Top Eliminator Class. We would like to thank all of our team members for making the trip and putting forth such a great effort.
