BRACKET RACING STARTS WITH A NEW TWIST AT ERP
The bracket points season got underway at ERP this past Saturday. Beginning the second year of new ownership, ERP is continuing to undergo operational changes. "We needed to tighten up the hours of operation" said Gerald Kramer. "Starting a little later in the day gives the fans a better idea on how bracket racing works and saves on operational costs" explained Kramer. Gates open at 1:30 PM with time trials underway at 3 PM followed by eliminations at or around 6 PM.
Also new for 2007, is the reaction time challenge. The reaction time challenge is open to all entries (except Jr's) and costs $10 to enter. The best reaction time during this last time session wins $200. The proceeds from the reaction time contest go to continued track improvements and updates. "Plans are for some paving in the starting line area this Summer" mentioned Kramer. "We want to be able to continue to have one of nicest tracks in the Country."
